Sainshand ( Mongolian : Сайншанд ; ᠰᠠᠶᠢᠨᠱᠠᠩᠳᠠ ) is the capital of Dornogovi Province in Mongolia . It is located in the eastern Gobi Desert steppe, on the Trans-Mongolian Railway .
