Spider-Island is a 2011 comic book storyline starting in The Amazing Spider-Man and crossing over into other comic books published by Marvel Comics , most of which were limited series or one-shots specifically for this storyline. The main plot involves the inhabitants of Manhattan Island mysteriously gaining powers similar to Spider-Man . It features the return of the Jackal and the Queen (Adrianna "Ana" Soria) to the Marvel Universe and laid the ground work for the second volume of the Scarlet Spider series .
