The Rio–Niterói Bridge (in Portuguese: Ponte Rio-Niterói ), officially the President Costa e Silva Bridge , is a box girder bridge spanning the Guanabara Bay , connecting the cities of Rio de Janeiro and Niterói in the State of Rio de Janeiro , Brazil .
