The Vič District ( pronounced [ˈʋiːtʃ] ; Slovene: Četrtna skupnost Vič ), or simply Vič , is a district ( mestna četrt ) of the City Municipality of Ljubljana . It encompasses the western part of Ljubljana , the capital of Slovenia . It is named after the former village of Vič .
