Allerød Kommune is a municipality ( Danish , kommune ) on the island of Zealand ( Sjælland ) in eastern Denmark . The municipality covers an area of 67 km , and has a population of 25,962 (1 January 2024). Its mayor is Karsten Längerich of the political party Venstre .
