Gayan District ( Pashto : ګيان ولسوالۍ , Dari : ولسوالی گیان ) is a district of Paktika Province , Afghanistan . The estimated population in 2019 was 46,977 people. The district is within the heartland of the Zadran tribe of Pashtuns .
