Kuznetsk Alatau ( Russian : Кузнецкий Алатау ) is a mountain range in southern Siberia , Russia . The range rises in the Altai-Sayan region of the South Siberian Mountains , northwest of Mongolia . The Siberian Railway skirts the northern limit of the range.
