Kirby Super Star Ultra is a 2008 anthology action - platform game developed by HAL Laboratory and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo DS . The game is an enhanced remake of Kirby Super Star , originally released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1996, to commemorate the Kirby series' 15th anniversary.
