Marsa Alam ( Arabic : مَرْسَىٰ عَلَم Marsā ʿAlam [ˈmæɾsæ ˈʕælæm] , Classical Arabic lit.   ' Anchorage Mountain ' ) is a tourist town in south-eastern Egypt , located on the western shore of the Red Sea .
