Nadterechny District ( Russian : Надте́речный райо́н ; Chechen : Теркан кӀошт , Terkan khoşt ) is an administrative and municipal district ( raion ), one of the fifteen in the Chechen Republic , Russia . It is located in the northwest of the republic. The area of the district is 938 square kilometers (362 sq mi). Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo ) of Znamenskoye . Population: 55,782 ( 2010 Census ) ; 51,755 ( 2002 Census ); 35,742 ( 1989 Soviet census ) . The population of Znamenskoye accounts for 18.4% of the district's total population.
