Schnals ( German pronunciation: [ʃnals] ; Italian : Senales [seˈnaːles] ) is a comune (municipality) in the autonomous province of South Tyrol in northern Italy , located about 40 kilometres (25 mi) northwest of the city of Bolzano , on the border with Austria .
