Jalal al-Din al-Suyuti ( Arabic : جلال الدين السيوطي , romanized :  Jalāl al-Dīn al-Suyūṭī ; c. 1445–1505), or al-Suyuti , was an Egyptian Sunni Muslim polymath of Persian descent.
