Tromsdalen ( Norwegian ) or Romssavággi ( Northern Sami ) is an urban neighborhood in the city of Tromsø which is in Tromsø Municipality in Troms county, Norway . It is located just to the east of the city centre on the mainland along the coast of the Tromsøysundet strait. The 5.13-square-kilometre (1,270-acre) village has a population (2023) of 18,202 and a population density of 3,548 inhabitants per square kilometre (9,190/sq mi).
