Xingyang ( simplified Chinese : 荥阳 ; traditional Chinese : 滎陽 ; pinyin : Xíngyáng ) is a county-level city in Zhengzhou , Henan Province , South Central China . It is under the administration of the prefecture-level city of Zhengzhou . It is situated 15 kilometers to the west of Zhengzhou city proper. The population of Xingyang is around 590,000 and the area of Xingyang is about 908 km (351 sq mi).
