Humayma ( Arabic : الحميمة , romanized :  al-Humayma ) also spelled Humeima and Humaima , is the modern name of ancient Hawara . Hawara was a trading post in southern Jordan that was founded by the Nabataean king Aretas III in the early first century BC.
