The Jaffna Peninsula ( Tamil : யாழ்ப்பாணக் குடாநாடு , romanized:  Yāḻppāṇa kuṭānāṭu , or Tamil: யாழ் குடாநாடு , romanized:  Yāḻ kuṭānāṭu ) is a region in the Northern Province of Sri Lanka .
