Şarköy , formerly Peristasis ( Greek : Περίστασις ), is a municipality and district of Tekirdağ Province , Turkey . Its area is 487 km, and its population is 33,466 (2022). It is a seaside town on the north coast of the Marmara Sea in East Thrace .
